Why an organic flower seed?
"What's the point of an organic flower seed since you can't eat it?" The challenges of organic farming are not limited to what many people say: it's natural, it's organic, it's good for your health! While expectations in terms of health and taste create a growing demand for organic products, consumers and organic farmers must motivate their support by the desire to contribute to environmental protection, which will have a definite impact directly and indirectly on their lives. But where does this flower seed come from? To produce seeds, the mother plant needs a growing season. During this growing period, conventionally, the plants are sprayed with herbicides and other pesticides! It is now proven and proven by numerous scientific studies that these pesticides have significant repercussions on human health: birth defects, sterility in couples, etc. In fact, organic farming, by respecting the major natural balances, the diversity of plant and animal species, by prohibiting the use of synthetic chemicals, contributes to the preservation of diversity. It is this diversity that will be the source of a balance that needs to be recreated today. We wanted to initiate this approach in order to raise awareness among people, from producer to consumer. If these flowers will have the same brilliance, the same fragrances as your conventional seeds, they will have been produced with respect for the environment, in harmony with ecosystems. You will find classic varieties (cosmos, mallows, poppies, etc.) but also original ones (spotted Mimulus, Mexican Ageratum, etc.) as well as the first organic flower meadows available on the French market! We hope that in a few years, organic availability will allow us to find the same diversity as conventional farming today. It's up to each of us to participate in this dissemination to encourage momentum.
