The foliage is dense and semi-evergreen. These berries are tasty, and can be eaten fresh or used in various culinary preparations such as jams, jellies and desserts. In terms of cultivation, it prefers a sunny to partially shaded location and well-drained soil. It is relatively easy to maintain, requiring only light pruning after flowering to maintain its shape and encourage new growth.
