This vigorous and very productive cultivar is characterized by long, flexible, thornless branches, which facilitates harvesting. Its fruits, large and elongated, have a shiny black skin when ripe and a juicy and tasty flesh, with a good balance between sweetness and acidity. The harvest begins at the end of July and continues until October, to make jams, jellies or pies. The flowering, which occurs from May, is abundant and melliferous, with small pale pink flowers grouped in bouquets. The fruits form in the form of clumped drupes and must be picked when they are very black to be fully tasty. This variety thrives in ordinary soil, provided it is neither too dry nor too wet, and prefers a sunny or partially shaded exposure.
