The 'Dirksen' blackberry is a variety without thorns, allowing its black, shiny fruits to be picked without risk.
The flowering of this variety is regular, with a harvest that begins in late July or early August and continues until the end of summer. It stands out for its vigor and speed of growth, in addition to being one of the most productive among the mulberry trees. Its fruits, although slightly less fragrant than those of the thorny brambles, offer a sweet sweetness and a pleasant acidity. They are perfect to be enjoyed fresh, incorporated into a fruit salad, or transformed into jam and jelly.
Resistant to disease and cold, the mulberry tree adapts easily to loamy soil, provided that it is not too draining in summer, with sunny or partial shade exposure.
