The 'Tayberry' is a variety born from the union between the blackberry and the raspberry. Its fruits, of generous size, have a purplish red hue when they reach their full maturity in July. It is distinguished by its unique aroma, a subtle blend between the notes of blackberry and raspberry, which makes it an ingredient of choice for preparing tasty jams.
Although it adapts to various soil types, it prefers neutral to slightly acidic soil, well drained and rich in organic matter.
In addition to being enjoyed fresh, it is ideal for making jams and coulis.
