The Thornless 'Evergreen' variety is a thornless blackberry that stands out for its vigor and productivity. Between September and October, it offers a harvest of large, shiny black fruits, whose flavor is appreciated both fresh and in jam or coulis.
Although this old variety can produce thorny suckers that should be removed to prevent their spread, it is generally undemanding in terms of soil type. However, it thrives best in neutral or slightly acidic soil that is well-drained and rich in organic matter.
