AGERATUM LEDA NT
Ageratum houstonianum
Ageratum is an annual plant bearing small, long-lasting blue-violet flowers that bloom throughout the summer, ideal for decorating a balcony, a flowerbed, or a border. From 0.15 to 60 cm in height. The Leda variety is compact, about 25 cm high, and its two-tone lavender-blue and white flowers with a downy appearance will attract pollinators. Density: 6 to 12 plants/m². Successfully sowing ageratum Sow the seeds in a greenhouse heated to more than 20°C on fine seed compost. Place the seeds loosely and cover with a thickness of compost equal to the diameter of the seeds. Keep the seed compost moist but not soggy. Germination takes about a week. Transplant into larger pots as soon as the first leaves appear. Harden off the plants by taking them outside during the day. Growing Ageratum Ageratum is quite sensitive to cold, and will need to be protected when the first frosts arrive. Plant in the garden in May after the frosts in light, well-drained soil, spacing them 20 cm apart. Water moderately. Flowering: From May to June until the frosts.
