The Kamtchatica edible honeysuckle is a vigorous variety, distinguished by its lanceolate foliage and fruits covered with a light bluish bloom. Its flowering is manifested by small white flowers, slightly scented. When planting, it is crucial to choose a location where direct exposure to sunlight is limited. Too much light can burn the leaves of the honeysuckle, hence the importance of planting it in semi-shade. It prefers fertile and fresh soils, where it can flourish fully. It is particularly resistant to negative temperatures, making it an ideal choice for colder climates. The fruiting of this variety depends on cross-pollination with compatible varieties such as 'Edulis' or another Kamtschatica. The berries, with a tart and fruity taste, are elongated and can be enjoyed fresh or used to prepare delicious jams.
