BROCCOLI CABBAGE JETS SESSANTINA AB
Brassica oleracera botrytis cymosa
Sessantina sprouting broccoli is a very productive early variety, producing slender sprouts, stems, and small green inflorescences in 60 days, to be eaten in salads or blanched. It has a pleasant flavor, somewhere between cabbage and sweet mustard.
Sessantina sprouting broccoli prefers a temperate climate and should not be sown during periods of intense heat. The leaves and stems with the inflorescences are eaten steamed or sautéed, like asparagus.
