Or Jerusalem Cross. Hardy and melliferous perennial, with fiery red umbels of flowering from June to September, attracting pollinators. Appreciates fresh but drained soils and full sun to partial shade. Water requirements: moderate. Suitable for picking cut flowers. Height approx. 80 cm. Very good vase life. Direct sowing or in a pot, in March-April or in autumn at a depth of 0.5 cm at 15/20°C. Emergence in 20 days. Sowing under cover is possible from March, in which case plant in place at the seedling stage 5/6 cm, leaving 25-30 cm between plants, after the last frosts. Successful sowing of the Maltese CrossSow in March-April or in autumn at a depth of 0.5 cm at 15/20°C, in a tray/pot or directly in place. Keep moist. Emergence in 20 days. If sowing in March, sow under cover and plant in place at the seedling stage 5/6 cm apart, leaving 25-30 cm between plants, after the last frosts.
