The 'Darkeley' variety is distinguished by the production of large, deep blue fruits, renowned for their exceptional flavour.
Their harvest extends over a period of about four weeks, from mid-July to mid-August, offering a subtle balance between sugar and acidity. The bush that bears these fruits is vigorous, with an erect shape and thin, pointed, pale green leaves.
This late variety thrives particularly well in acidic soils, where organic matter plays a vital role in ensuring good water retention. Mulching helps keep it cool during the summer.
