The codling moth is a butterfly whose larva penetrates the fruit where it develops, causing damage (galleries, rot). Nematodes are microscopic worms that live in the soil and will help you treat your fruit trees: apple trees, pear trees, walnut trees against the codling moth. They move in the soil in search of insect larvae that they penetrate and parasitize by multiplying inside, thus causing their death. Once their target is eliminated, the many nematodes that have developed go in search of other prey and continue to clean your garden relentlessly! Nematodes exist naturally in the soil but rarely in a sufficient way to combat pests. By increasing their density in the soil, you ensure effective protection for your plants. Nematodes do not present any inconvenience for humans or domestic animals. This product is delivered to you in the form of a prepaid card to be returned to the address indicated on the back of the card as soon as you wish to receive the nematodes. Since insects are living organisms, we do not have the optimal conditions to preserve them, which is why our partner will send them to you directly as soon as you need them. Please note, do not freeze. You can keep them for a few days in the refrigerator at 6-8°C before using them. Delivery in mainland France only. Dosage / surface area: 30 million nematodes for 8 trees. How do I receive my nematodes against codling moth? 1 - Choose your product and order your card on our website. 2 - You will receive the card at home, then return it, when you wish to receive your insects, to the address indicated on the back of the card. 3 - You will receive your insects at home, they are ready to be placed on your plants. How to use nematodes against codling moth? Curative action only. The treatment is carried out after the harvest, in order to eliminate all the larvae that have taken refuge in the trunks or the ground to spend the winter. It is used as a spray. Pour the powder into a sprayer, add water and mix well. Directly treat the tree to be protected and the ground around it early in the morning or in the evening, preferably in humid weather, as well as all possible shelters nearby (fence, low wall, etc.). Be careful, do not spray nematodes during the day or in full sun because they would not survive drying out. The most important factor for good nematode action is humidity, hence the importance of treatment in the morning or evening. Treatment period: August, September, October, November. Temperature above 14°C.
