How do pheromones work?
Pheromones are volatile substances secreted by living beings (animals, insects, certain plants, etc.). In insects, the pheromone is generally emitted by the female to create sexual attraction for the male, who can detect it several kilometers away. Each insect pest has a specific pheromone.
The principle of the treatment consists of attracting the male insect by imitating the pheromone of its female to trap it and thus avoid mating and reproduction.1. the capsule imitating the female pheromone is placed in a trap to attract the male2. the male detects the pheromone, he believes he is joining the female3. the male enters the trap, he is captured, production is stopped.
How to set up pheromones?
The pheromone capsule is packaged in a waterproof bag. It can be used as soon as the bag is opened. Place it in the small capsule holder basket of the pheromone trap. The trap and pheromone assembly should be placed near the vegetables to be protected.
