Clary sage is a perennial condiment and ornamental plant that produces a lot of honey. This variety has large pink , purplish spikes and produces large leaves with a powerful fragrance. It reseeds itself naturally.
Clary sage leaves are used to flavor meats, fish, sauces and vegetables, but are also consumed as herbal tea for their medicinal properties (digestive disorders, bactericide , antispasmodic , astringent , anti-inflammatory , etc.).
Successful Sowing of Piedmont Clary Sage
Sow in March-April under cover, in a terrine on fine, moist substrate, cover the seeds very lightly and keep at 20°C.
Transplant into pots.
Planting Clary Sage
When the plants reach 10 cm, in open ground, in May and June .
Regular watering. Sowing possible in summer for planting in autumn.
