Silene armeria
Annual, also called Silene Armerie. Upright, herbaceous plant with aerial pink flowers blooming from May to September. A bee-producing plant, it attracts pollinating insects. Height: 30-60cm. It appreciates well-drained, dry soils, a sunny exposure and tolerates calcareous soils. It is suitable for growing in beds, borders, rockeries or in pots. It tolerates drought well and reseeds easily. The young shoots and leaves are edible raw or cooked. Successfully sowing the Purple CampionSow from May to June, at the depth of the seed, directly in place, thinning to 15-20 cm, in rows or broadcast. Sowing at 15-22°C. Emergence in 10 to 15 days. In regions with mild winters, autumn sowing is possible for early flowering the following spring. Flowering of the Purple Campion The flowers appear from May to September.
