Remember to wear a dust mask when handling dry seeds. For good conservation of your sieve, dry well after use, if necessary with a weight, and brush or blow to remove debris and seeds and not pollute your next batch. Sift dry seeds Using at least two sieves, one to remove the large waste remaining on the sieve and the other to collect the seed and let the finer waste pass through. Decant Separate the heavy seeds from the light seeds and waste by tilting the sieve. Ventilate the dry seeds The lighter waste flies away, the seed remains in the sieve. Clean wet seeds After crushing your fruit and depending on the species, let the seeds macerate in the pulp, immerse the sieve in your container, or pour the pulp and seed mixture onto the sieve.
