Description of Varieties
Colmar Red Heart Carrot: A productive, late variety with large, long, conical roots and sweet, red flesh right down to the heart.
Touchon Carrot: Early, semi-long, straight and heartless. Its firm flesh is renowned for its exceptional flavor.
Nantaise Carrot: Coreless, with very sweet flesh and a mild taste.
Yellow Carrot from Doubs: Very productive and sweet, with a beautiful yellow color.
White Carrot from Kuttingen: Hardy and fast-growing, this variety produces white, aromatic, sweet, fine and tasty flesh.
How to Set Up the Carrot Mat?
- Implementation period: From March to June.
- Soil preparation: Refine the soil well and water the soil.
- Unfold and place the mat on the floor.
- Cover the carpet: Use a mixture of very fine soil and sand a few millimeters deep.
- Water with a fine spray.
- Keep the soil moist: The soil must remain moist until the seeds germinate. You can also use a P17 type fleece to maintain moisture and prevent the surface from drying out.
