4-TIER POTATO TOWER
The tower allows you to grow potatoes, strawberries, or any other vegetables (radishes, salads, etc.) vertically easily and with high productivity in a small space in the garden, on a terrace or balcony! This technique, very often used in permaculture, allows, in good conditions, to harvest high yields in a small space! No digging or weeding with this cultivation technique. This potato tower is made up of 4 levelsSetting upThe potato tower is set up in the spring to plant the tubers that have been germinated beforehand. Fill all the bins with rich, low-calcareous soil and place the already germinated potatoes in them. Once the plants are 10 to 15 cm high, cover or hill them up with a layer of soil or compost, leaving the ends of the stems to emerge. Keep the soil slightly moist but without watering the foliage. New tubers will develop on the potato plants. Repeat this throughout the season as the stems grow. You can add more tubers if you have room in one area of the container. Harvesting PotatoesHarvest potatoes in late summer or early fall when the foliage begins to wilt, removing each layer. We recommend choosing late potato varieties for this type of crop as they will produce tubers for a longer period than other varieties.
